Technique: Acrylic
Nancy Cayouette is a self-taught artist from the Saguenay region. At a very young age, she was first attracted to drawing. She subsequently made the fascinating discovery of the world of color which led her to a growing passion for the visual arts.
She explores oil painting and continues her experiments to gradually discover acrylic which is, today, her medium par excellence. For many years, she experimented with different techniques and styles to perfect her experience and thus succeed in translating her ideas onto the canvas. In recent years, she has succeeded in developing a totally contemporary style of abstract art that resembles her. This need to create has become his way of life and his work is constantly evolving. Creation remains for her a mixture of discoveries, pleasures, fascinations and emotions. Through her works, she manages to convey the feelings of the present moment. “This is how the work, once finished, reflects who I am,” says the artist. She has made it her full-time profession and has now earned her living for several years by teaching, selling her paintings and exhibiting her works at exhibitions and symposiums.
