…Produced and presented by the Beauchamp Family, conceived and artistically directed by Ms. Josée-Gabrielle La Bar, the spectacular event entitled ‘The Journey of my Soul’ held on May 15th from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at 49, rue Saint Pierre, Espace Galerie B8, was The artistic experience that had people talking. Ms. La Bar was inspired by Martin Beaupré’s paintings for this ‘nouveau-genre’ Private View. The amount of people that showed up was astounding and Martin Beaupré was bedazzled by the quantity of paintings that were sold that  night.

Three art forms were combined for this extravagant event that of painting, dance, and music. Throughout the evening, the public viewed a live painting performance by a Quebec artist, Martin Beaupré who is strongly influenced by the Asian culture. A famous oriental actress and dancer, Ms. Tai Wei Foo, who is also presently working with Robert Lepage, played the character of a Geisha, dressed in an authentic traditional Kimono. 
At the end of the evening, Ms. Foo also interpreted an intense contemporary dance routine that was to reveal the strong spiritual energy that encompasses Martin Beaupré’s paintings.Furthermore, Japanese Taiko drum musicians  performed live in front of the audience. Free refreshments, Japanese beer, sake, Japanese tea, and sushi were also served and a painting by Martin Beaupré was drawn amongst those present.

Josée-Gabrielle La Bar has created a new artistic concept and she intends on directing many more Private View’s of this kind at the new Beauchamp Art Gallery named Espace Galerie B8, located at 49 rue Saint-Pierre…Stay in tune for the others to come…Moreover, those who could not attend the ‘nouveau-genre’ private view will be able, none the less, to see Martin Beaupré ’s paintings on the website at www.galeriebeauchamp.com From the 15th to the 30th of May there will be a Virtual Art Exhibition of his paintings on the website. Martin Beaupré’s paintings will also be exhibited at Espace Galerie B8 located at 49, rue Saint Pierre until the end of May. Moreover, the Beauchamp Team will also prepare a special slide-show of what went on that evening that will be placed on the website for all to see…

The Grand Opening of the Beauchamp Art Gallery in Toronto, at 55 Simcoe Street, was held on the 25th of February. Those accustomed to seeing the Beauchamp family members in Quebec City, were more than pleased to be greeted by them personally in Toronto as well. There were even several Quebec artists who had flown to Toronto for the big event. Those present were Mélanie Simard, Lucille Marcotte, Joelle Blouin, André Pleau, and Stéphanie Rivet. Cocktails and hors-d’oeuvres were also served throughout the evening, accompanied by the sound of the   ‘Nancy Walker Jazz Band’. As always, this evening turned out to be a tremendous success.
