Viatcheslav Tchistiline studied Fine Art at Kharkov State University. He also studied Painting, Decorative Art and Interior Design at the Kharkov Artistic-Industrial Institute in Ukraine. Slava painted using oil on canvas in a realistic manner. He was also engaged in monumental murals and teaching. Slava travelled to Europe, France, Germany and to Holland where he studied Dutch style painting. He held many exhibitions in Europe. His realistic paintings are in many collections in Germany and France. With his arrival to Canada, he studied encaustic media, which is a very old technique, created in Egypt and Byzantine. Slava's encaustic pieces proved to be of great interest to art collectors in Canada and internationally.

Natalie Tchistilina was born in Donetsk, Ukraine. She studied at the regional House of Native Art, from 1971-72. She continued to study art at the I.L. Makarenko Studios in the House of Culture, Donetsk, Ukraine, from 1973 to 1974. She also studied painting, graphics and art history at Kharkov Artistic Industrial Institute in Kharkov, Ukraine from 1978 to 1983, where she was recognized as an artist-designer. From 1983 to 1992, she designed monumental decorative paintings and mosaics. She continued her career working as a designer specializing in graphics and as an independent artist concentrating on painting from 1992 to 1995. In October 1995, she immigrated to Canada and has worked on murals and paintings, also exhibiting galleries. She has lived with her family in Toronto, since 1995.
