Rivet, Stéphanie
Medium : acrylic, mixed media
Born in 1972 in Montreal, Quebec.
Painting for Stéphanie Rivet has always been a necessity. It is a way for her to express her vision of reality. After studying math, she completed her Bachelor's degree in art . During her studies she discovered new mediums. She became particularly interested in painting, computer art, photography and video. While continuing to paint, she began slowly to incorporate these new materials to her work.
Even though animals are omnipresent in her work, Rivet is inspired by the natural forces of nature. Horses, elephants and bulls are the subjects she prefers. The strength they portray and the beauty they behold are also a great source of inspiration to the artist.
