Nicole Rainville was born in Shawinigan, Québec and now resides in Montréal.
Nicole Rainville took part in many workshops over the years, one of which was with Brother Jérôme in the 1980’s. She also spent some time on the Ivory coast where she continued to develop her own personal style. Her approach which is both playful and endearing is very close to that of Brother Jérôme. Rainville’s work is the result of a personal and aesthetic search. Her figures as well as her choice of colours contribute to creating a joyous and balanced environment.
