Dianne Papillon was born in Quebec,
Dianne Papillon first studied painting with well known Quebec artist Albert Rousseau, in 1973. Later on, she received her bachelor's degree in visual arts from Laval University. Papillon is a multidisciplinary artist, her work wavering between figuration and abstraction. Her paintings are very expressive and painterly and are the result of a personal exploration of colour and texture.
