Marschall, Linda

Linda Marschall was born, and lives, in Montreal.

After studying in Dawson College’s Fine Art program, she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia university in 1981. Under the 9 years tutelage and inspiration of internationally renowned Jean Louis Edmond at the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts, she further developed her technical skills to advance in the interpretation and representation of the human form. She creates her sculptures in her studio in Pointe Claire, Quebec.

Modus Operandi :
Bronze & cement:
The artwork is sculpted in clay. Rubber moulds are then made to produce piece in dry stone, cement resin or wax. Bronze castings are limited editions.

Spirage:
A new sculpture form developed by Linda, this technique uses various tubings, wiring, welding, steel, and occasionally cement to form truly unique pieces that invariably have a dramatic, romantic, or sometimes playful movement which is not as easily accomplished using other materials. Each sculpture is on of a kind.
