Born in Montreal, she now lives in Sainte-Béatrix, Quebec.

In 1968, Louise Lefebvre received her Bachelor’s degree in Teaching at the Montreal University. Later in 1987, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from the University of Quebec also in Montreal.

Working as a teacher and as an illustrator, Louise Lefebvre also managed to work as an engraver. Today, having acquired knowledge and experience from her various working venues, she dedicates her time entirely to her art.

Being a multidisciplinary artist, Lefebvre prefers painting on canvas and paper. However, she continues to work with inks and pastels. All the while, pursuing her other techniques : engraving, drawing, and collages.

Moreover, her paintings are touching and imaginative. Capturing one’s emotions by their reflection of a world that is vibrant and poetic. The colours she uses are soothing, rendering a light that is unique in composition. Her canvas overflows with subtle texture, creating an inviting atmosphere where the onlooker can’t help but be mesmerized.
