Khaled, Abdallah

Born in Tamrichte Bejaia, Algeria, in 1954, Abdallah Khaled has been living in Italy since 1981.

Abdallah Khaled attended a private art school at the age of 14. In 1976, he was accepted into the National School of Fine Arts. Finally, in 1980, he received a 5-year scholarship to study at the Fine Arts Academy in Venice, Italy.

Often called a "pictorial poet", Khaled uses various mediums such as sand, stucco, wood chips, cloth and glue in his work. The themes he likes to explore are that of maternity, festivities, rituals, ceremonies, dances involving a multitude of figures that create the energy of life.

Khaled has participated in many group and solo exhibitions in Italy and in other foreign countries where he was very well received by both the public and the critics.

The National Museum of Algeria and many Algerian embassies.
