Gagnon, Danielle

Medium : oil
Born in Montreal, Danielle Gagnon is a second generation artist. Having an artist as a parent can be quite inspiring for a young child. In her case, her father had a great influence in her to draw and eventually guide her to pursue her studies in visual art.
She earned her first degree in 1978 in commercial drawing at Studio Salette in Montreal, she then moved on to fashion design at Concordia University. In 1990, Danielle Gagnon stepped away from the graphic design to finally discover oil painting and pursue her goal to become a professional artist. The impressionist masters like Renoir and Monet had a great influence in her style.
Her paintings are composed of soft and romantic images, her choice of colors make her paintings distinct and easily recognizable. Danielle Gagnon has participated in several exhibitions by herself and with other well known artists in the Quebec and Ontario region. Her paintings are now sold in Canada, United States and Europe.
