Technique: oil

Native of the town of La Baie, Quebec, Éric Dupont holds a Ph.D. in Physiology Endocrinology from the Faculty of Medicine at Laval University and a fellowship in neuroendocrinology at the University of Montreal. He also holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and a Certificate in Business Administration also from Laval University.

From an early age, Éric Dupont benefitted from the presence of exceptional individuals who stimulated scientific, intellectual, and artistic curiosity. His paternal aunt, with her legendary generosity, initiated very early the appreciation of art by visiting several galleries and museums. Éric Dupont is very versatile and extremely talented in various fields of interest such as science, business, finance, philanthropy and painting. He holds nine patents in major areas of research, specifically: cancer, nutrition, cosmetic active ingredients and anti-aging cosmeceutical care.

Since 1998, Éric Dupont seeks to represent invisible microscopic and macroscopic worlds, a vein of figurative painting he considered underexploited. His creations are a kind of crossroads where science meets the arts. His works, touching the subject of the infinitely small, are grouped into three series, including "Cells" "Origin" and "neurons" and those, from the theme of the infinitely large, are listed as follows: "Origin" Galaxies "and" Milky Way ".

Made using slightly rounded trowels, Éric Dupont's compositions offer "all over" well defined, spontaneous, rich reliefs and prismatic colors. The abundance and density of the material and the consistency of his spatula strokes are the characteristics of pictorial work by the artist that combine and juxtapose the colors on the canvas. Quick gestures with which he has applied the material, give his works a very interesting structure.

Through his work, he wants to draw attention to the extraordinary and multiple facets of the infinitely small and the infinitely large, both worlds of the origin of life.

"For a man who remains ageless in wonder, the wonder of life, routine is death" Eric Dupont
