Born in 1959, Bedford in the Eastern Townships, she now resides in St-Luc, Quebec.
In the late 1980’s, Lise Desjardin began a Visual Arts program at the University of Quebec in Montreal. While at University, she explored various media and techniques. However, it was when working as an independent artist that she developed her own particular style.
Desjardin uses a type of pointillism to represent trees and grass; she creates harmonious landscapes bathed in a soft peaceful light. Concerning her work, she writes: « A golden sky to awaken one’s curiosity, colourful trees to awaken creativity, flowers to awaken happiness and houses to awaken a feeling of belonging... ».
