Born in Montreal in 1957, Charles Carson has been devoting himself entirely to his art since 1983.

Over the years, Carson has participated in numerous exhibitions in Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia and South America. He has also spent 10 of these artistically productive years living in Columbia.

Carson has gained recognition at the International level and has become known among art historians and consultants both for his art and for his unique technique which has been termed “Carsonism”. In 2002, he won the Gold Medal at the Montreal “Salon international des Beaux-Arts”. He was awarded an honourable mention at the 9th Edition of the MIM D'Or 2003 at the “Salon des technologies” held at the Congress Centre in Montreal. Charles Carson is considered by critics to be one of the major contemporary artists.

The bright palette for which Carson is known, renders an illusion of freshness and energy to his paintings. The artist has created a new style, transforming contemporary art, and thus, giving it new life. May it be the influence of his travels, his spontaneous technique, or his choice of colours, Carson differs from what anyone has seen before. Making him an artist that is sought for by art collectors all over the world for his originality, that differs totally from the current trends. Carson; an artist to discover and appreciate.

His works may now be found both in private and public collections through out the world.

Honours :

To mention but a few of the honours Carson received throughout his career let us mention the most recent ones:

In 2006, Carson was awarded the academic title by the International Academy of the Beaux-Arts of Quebec (AIBAQ) for his excellent work. That same year, he obtained the medal of honour of the AEAF, at the International Salon of the European Academy of Arts in France.
