Bluto
Medium : mixed-media, coffee, acrylic, and marble powder.
Born in Montreal (Quebec) in 1968, she now lives in Quebec City.
Marie-Linda Bluto holds a diploma in graphic Art at Ste-Foy College, she also has her bachelors degree in Art at Laval University.
Marie-Linda Bluto has perfected the art of painting with coffee and acrylic. She prefers working with mediums that are non-polluting. She also textures her canvas beforehand by using marble powder and a water-based varnish.
Bluto has been exploring this technique for the past 30 years. Light and shadow play an important role in her paintings. The overall effect is very powerful and dramatic, revealing sculpted and sensual bodies whose outlines are fluid and discreet. Bluto’ s compositions are original and unique. It is not surprising that she is known internationally.
