Born in Georgia in the former Soviet Union in 1957.

Eric participated frequently in art programs and published his work in children's magazines, continually meeting an enthusiastic response. After graduating from the prestigious Tbilisi Academy of Art, Eric became more prolific, and his art more experimental. His talent was recognized by the USSR Union of Artists. Although he had originally planned to become a university professor teaching painting, his own exhibitions were successful enough to support his studio.

The artistic climate of Russia was somewhat prohibitive, so Eric decided to immigrate to the United States, arriving first in New York and eventually establishing residency in Atlanta. Eric has exhibited his work internationally.
