Born in Québec City, Isabelle Alain acquired her Fine Arts Degree from Laval University in Québec City in the nineties.

A multi-disciplinary artist, she has experimented in many different materials and varied fields of visual arts such as sculpting, photography and of course, painting.

It is through a spontaneous, very instinctive, free-style manner that she creates compositions in which emerge anecdotal characters. Alain’s spontaneity and intuitive character allow her to create scenes that display a unique abstraction throughout the work. It is the artists’ desire to bring out our deepest, sometimes troubled emotions, while contemplating her efforts in creating figurative, yet somewhat subjective images painted on canvas.
